Jason Buchtel

PRODUCER, WRITER

Prior to producing Showboy, Jason ran Pollywog, a Los Angeles production company that he co-founded with actor/director Andy Dick.  While at Pollywog Pictures, Jason developed the successful The Andy Dick Show on MTV.

Jason first established himself in New Orleans, where he maintained Verge Entertainment. Via Verge he published TRIBE TV, featuring the lifestyles of the self-coined “South Coast.” During that time, Jason met and teamed up with his mentor, the late Brandon Tartikoff, before the latter's untimely death.

Currently, Jason is the managing partner of Master Notions, LLC, a Los Angeles/New York based production company.  There he continues his guerrilla style approach to getting projects made. Currently he is producing A Low Life In High Heels (a documentary following the exploitation of legendary Andy Warhol superstar, Holly Woodlawn) and Sebastian & Onslow, an  animated short film based on the children's book he authored.  Jason lives in Hollywood, CA.
